1# INDIAN ARMY GRENADIER  YOGENDRA SINGH YAADAV

Source: Facebook

Subedar Yogendra Singh Yadav, the youngest Indian Army soldier to receive the Paramveer Chakra at the age of 19, he was born on 10 May 1980 in Ahir village of Bulandshahar district, U.P. Patriotism was in his blood because of his father, Mr. Karan Singh Yadav, who served the Kumaon Regiment by participating in the 1965 and 1971 wars, Yogendra Singh Yadav was enlisted in the Indian army only at the age of 16 years and 5 months.

By the way, every soldier of Indian Army is brave and brave who, regardless of his life, surrenders himself in defense of the country, we all salute those brave soldiers, but some soldiers do something that are beyond the humans imagination, and they do something incredible that make them  become immortal in our memories.

The same thing happened with Subedar Yogendra Singh, this is of Kargil war. The most important place in the war of  Kargil in 1999 was Tiger Hill where the Pakistanis were in possession, Pakistanis had the advantage of being at the height of the mountain. They could easily  kill their opponents who coming from below.

It was very important for India to capture Tiger Hill. Subedar Yogendra Singh took the courageous decision to climb the 16000 feet steep hill, at that time he was only 19 years old but bravely inherited it from his father. At that time, there were three bunkers of Pakistanis on Tiger Hill which was necessary to destroy.

Yogendra Singh was part of a deadly commando platoon “GHATAK”with eighteen grenadiers, on 4 July 1999 he started climbing from the rear of Tiger Hill so that the Pakistanis could not find it, he started voluntarily and started making ways for  the troops coming from behind. The Indian Army opened fire from the front to confuse the Pakistanis.

But when Yogendra was about to climb Tiger Hill, it was left only to cover the distance of 60 feet, when the Pakistanis saw them coming up and attacked on them from their bunker, in this attack, the two soldiers behind them were martyred. And he was hit by 3 bullets on his shoulder, but he still kept himself alive for the whole night in the harsh winter and slowly started to complete the remaining climb.

The Pakistanis felt that he had attained Virgati but eventually in such a critical condition, he climbed the Tiger Hill and as they climbed, he entered into the bunker of Pakistanis and attacked them and killed their four soldiers within a matter of time. After seeing this, the rest of the Pakistanis were surprised even after that he did not stop and entered into another bunker of enemies where he killed their 4 soldiers.

During all this, he got shot with 15 bullets, the whole body became cuticle, but this hero of Bharat Mata was not defeated yet, he also fought to the death to protect the motherland and he also defeated the death, the remaining Indian Army soldiers got the chance to climb up and they bravely destroy the rest of the enemy’s bunkers. Finally, India hoisted the tricolor (Tiranga) on Tiger Hill due to the bravery of the Subedar.

Surprisingly, he was posthumously announced the Param Vir Chakra, but this brave fighter fought to the death in the hospital too and he remained victorious there and his health started improving and he became the first youngest  soldier of India to get the Param Vir Chakra.

2# IAN CARDOZO – “CARTOOS SAHIB “

Source – facebook

Ian cardozo

Ian cardozo brave warriors of the Gorkha regiment, promising and courageous, who never gave up, never being distracted. Let’s know who is he.

Many extraordinary war stories have undoubtedly emerged from the Battle of Sylhet. From both Indian and Bangladeshi fronts. However, there will be none like Major General Ian Cardozo, who cut his own leg after stepping on a landmine.

The 1971 hero who defeated Pakistanis badly in the Battle of Sylhet, when India and Pakistan fought in 1971, in this war, Indian soldiers showed immense courage and forced Pakistan to lay down arms. It was the biggest surrender in any war that ever happened.

Pakistan had to face a worst ever defeat, even after surrendering, the Indian soldiers suspected that the danger was still not averted. During the search, a sudden explosion occurred in a ground tunnel, while Major General Yan Cardozo’s leg exploded in a blast, there was no emergency facility at that time when the leg exploded, due to which he raised his foot and he cut his foot with his Khukri.

At that time those who were junior doctors there were not able to do surgery so they showed inability to do anything, showing courage, he cut his own feet themselves, that severed leg was buried in the ground, then their partner soldiers picked them up and took him from their.

A Pakistani surgeon, Mohammed Bashir, received an order for his treatment, at first he refused but when he came to know that there was no other doctor available for his treatment, he treated him by introducing humanity, of this incident. Later he was taken to the hospital where he was put on a wooden leg.

While he was now handicapped, he could not get a place in the Indian Army, nor could he be promoted further, he was told thatas he  do not have a leg, you can no longer live in the Army,  but Ian cardozo was no longer in mood to gave up. He never considered himself to be handicapped and took a leg of wood to improve himself and started to fix himself.

He started exercising, started running with wooden legs, started training himself, he made himself so strong that he was ready to fight the challenges, he said that he is ready to race anyone , he believed that he could beat any 2-legged human easily, and ran so fast with one leg of wood that even those who were medically fit were beaten him in the race, After that he passed the Physical Fitness Test.

He then presented his case in front of the then Indian Army Chief General Tapishwar Narayana Raina, who then asked Cardozo to go to Laddakh. After seeing that Cardozo could still walk in the mountains through snow and ice, General Raina allowed him to command a battalion. A similar situation occurred when he was to command a brigade. He fought through all the troubles and made his disability his strength and finally he was promoted to the rank of  Brigadier on 1 March 1984.

IAN CARDOZO

IAN CARDOZO was the only person in the country who was awarded the rank of Major General in Indian Army even though he was disabled, he achieved this on the strength of self-will.

It’s a bit strange to hear, but if people are to be believed, there is complete truth in this matter. I am talking about Baba Harbhajan Singh, who is martyred for the country, who is also known as “Hero of Nathula”.

The early life of Baba Harbhajan Singh

Baba Harbhajan Singh was born into a Sikh family on 30 August in the village of Sadhana in district Gujranwala (now in Pakistan). The whole country was immersed in devotion at the time when he was born. And maybe that’s why he already had the urge to do something for his country, His family shifted to  India after the partition. In India, he completed his preliminary education at a village school, and then matriculated from DAV High School in Patti, Punjab, in March 1965.

Baba Harbhajan Singh IN INDIAN ARMY

He enlisted as a soldier in Amritsar and joined the Punjab regiment.

And on 30 July 1965, he was posted with 14 Rajput Regiment, He participated in the India-Pakistan war in 1965. This was the first time in his life when he participated in any war.

Later, he was transferred to 18 Rajput Regiment, and he worked very hard for the next 3 years in this regiment.

Baba Harbhajan Singh DEATH MYSTERY

He died in Sikkim on 4 October 1968, the reason behind his death was that he was going through 14,500 feet (4,400 m) Nathu La, a mountain pass between Tibet and Sikkim where many battles took place between the Indian Army and the PLA (China’s People’s Liberation Army) during the 1965 Sino-Indian war.

But while carrying goods for the army, he was trapped in a glacier, which would lead to his death. His remains were found after a three-day search. His body was subsequently cremated with full military honors .

He was given the status of “martyr” (Shaheed) for his loss of life for the country.

MIRACULOUS DEATH STORY

Friends, this was a common thing which has often happened to our country’s patriot SiPahi. But now the story which is difficult to believe and the many  legends  further claims that the late Harbhajan  Singh helped the search party find his body .

He told his partner the location of his body in the dream and after 3 days of hard search, his body was found at the same place where he told. This was the first incident in which Harbhajan Singh, even after his death, assisted his military brothers.

INTERACTION WITH CHINESE

After Harbhajan’s death, it was interactions with the Chinese that first cemented the initial hearsay of his ghost among Indian troops. The Chinese reported seeing a figure in Indian army uniform riding a white horse on their territory.

The Chinese army wrote a letter to the Indians asking ‘Who is this person doing the horse riding every night?.

“The Indian officer had a dream in which Babi Ji told him ‘I’m not going to harm them, however, if they want to catch me they can try.’

The Chinese never caught him

As his legend developed in army circles there, Harbhajan was given a seat at flag meetings between the two countries. “Once a Chinese official tried to sit in that seat but Baba Ji threw him off,”.

INDIAN ARMY BELIEFS

Some Indian soldiers believe that in the event of a war between India and China, Baba always warn the Indian soldiers of an impending attack at least three days in advance.

As per common belief, any army official not maintaining a clean and disciplined attire is punished with a slap by Baba himself. His own attire which hangs in the display need not be cleaned by anyone as it gets cleaned by his own soul.

Leave home

Every year on 11 September, the goods of Baba Harbhajan Singh are conveyed with full respect to the railway station New Jalpaiguri. And from there, three soldiers sent his goods to their village. KUKA, in the Kapurthala district of the Indian state of Punjab.

While empty berths on any train of the Indian Railways are invariably allocated to any waitlisted passenger or on a first-come-first-served basis by the coach attendants, a special reservation for the Baba is made.

Every year a seat is left empty for the journey to his hometown and 3 soldiers chaperone the Baba to his home. A small sum of money is contributed by soldiers posted in Nathula to be sent to his mother each month.

AFTER DEATH SERVICE FOR COUNTRY

1. Baba Harbhajan Singh has been continuously performing his duty since his death. For this, he is paid a salary, he has a rank in his army, he is also promoted as per rules. He was even sent to the village on a leave of 2 months until a few years ago.

For this, seats were reserved on the train, with three soldiers, all their belongings were sent to their village and after two months, they were brought back to Sikkim. During the two months when Baba was on leave, the entire border was on high alert because the soldiers could not get Baba’s help at that time.

BABA HARBHAJAN ON LEAVE

2. Baba’s departure and return from Sikkim were taking the form of a religious event in which a large number of people started gathering. Some people considered this event as promoting superstition, so they approached the court because any kind of superstition is forbidden in the army.
So the army stopped sending Baba on leave.

Now Baba is on duty for twelve months of the year. There is also a room of Baba in the temple, in which beds are cleaned and planted daily. Baba’s army uniforms and shoes are kept. It is said that after cleaning daily, mud and salve are found in their shoes.

INDIAN ARMY BELIEFS ON BABA HARBHAJAN

3. The temple of Baba Harbhajan Singh is the centre of faith of both soldiers and people. Every new soldier who comes to this area comes first to attack Baba. A strange belief among the people about this temple is that if the water is filled in a bottle in this temple and kept for three days, then that water has miraculous medicinal properties.

People’s diseases disappear by drinking this water. Therefore, the name of the bottles written in this temple is ambar. This water is used within 21 days and during this time the consumption of meat and alcohol is prohibited.

BABA HARBHAJAN BUNKER – AS A TEMPLE

4. Baba’s bunker, which is 1000 feet above the new temple, is decorated with red and yellow colours. Staircase red and pillar yellow. The bell is tied from bottom to top on both side railings of the stairs. There is a copy kept in Baba’s bunker. People write their wishes in these copies, it is believed that every wish written in them is complete.

In the same way, there is a place in the bunker where people drop coins, if they get that coin back then they are considered lucky. He is then advised to keep it in his purse or vault forever. The entire operation of both places is done by the army itself.

Every October 4 a special ceremony is organized by the Indian army out here to honour the role of Baba Harbhajan Singh as well as the mytars of Indian army who laid their lives for the safeguard of the country. Every Sunday and Tuesday throughout the year puja is observed at Baba Mandir where free meals are distributed among the devotees.

He was only 22 years old when he died, and for his bravery, he was awarded the Mahavir Chakra on 26 January 1969

So this was Baba Harbhajan, a soldier who gave his life to Mother India, But even posthumously, his patriotism did not disappear. Even today, he is motivating the remaining soldiers, to protect the country.

I hope you will be proud to read this article about this brave son of your country, who, even after death, has not forgotten his patriotism, and still serves the country today.
